TANDEM is proud to announce the extension of its partnership with the Richmond Football Club’s centre for Indigenous youth, the Korin Gamadji Institute (KGI).

TANDEM will once again partner with the KGI, as a supporter of the Richmond Emerging Aboriginal Leadership (REAL) Program.

The REAL Program is aimed at developing leadership skills and confidence among young people aged 14 to 17, and provides opportunities to strengthen their cultural identity and connection.

Nicole O’Sullivan, Executive General Manager People and Culture, made the announcement on Thursday on behalf of TANDEM as presenting partner of the 2018 KGI Awards and End of Year Celebration attended by 250 KGI alumni.

TANDEM Chief Executive Officer Jonathan Field was proud to extend the partnership.

“TANDEM is very proud to announce the second 12 month renewal of its partnership with Richmond and KGI to support and underpin this important program and to strengthen our aspiration of supporting the development of a resilient, job ready and inclusive workforce for today and tomorrow.”

“We are a people business and we genuinely care about our colleagues, subcontractors, clients and their customers. This partnership is about creating an inclusive organisation and understanding the history and culture of the people we work with.”

Richmond CEO Brendon Gale thanked TANDEM for their continued commitment to Indigenous youth.

“We are extremely proud of the work we do at the KGI in developing and empowering Indigenous youth. With TANDEM’s support we look forward to strengthening the REAL Program and extending the reach of the KGI to continue to transform the lives of young Indigenous Australians.

“The KGI has already benefited over 1,300 participants since it began seven years ago and will continue growing this number to develop resilient and culturally affirmed young Indigenous leaders who understand the importance of having a voice and influencing positive social change.”
